Florida has more than 800 beaches.
Most of them are crowded, some are less crowded. Even the crowded beaches are great walking spots; you only have to choose a day when the beach has less people.
Below are some of the top beaches for fitness walkers.
1. Key Biscayne

This is a good beach if you need to walk along a quiet beach. You can walk along the palm tree lined streets and while at it visit some of the galleries along the beach. You can also walk along the 2-mile long Crandon park beach as you watch the turtle eggs hatch. Besides, there are many more activities to engage in after the walk.
2. Siesta Key (Sarasota)

Sarasota Siesta beach is a great spot when you need to relax but it is also great when you need to walk. While the beach is crowded on weekends, it is a great beach for walking on weekdays. You can walk along the Siesta Key Crystal classic or walk to the Ringling Museum of Art.
3. Mexico Beach
Mexico Beach is just 20 minutes from Panama Beach. There are no fancy resorts or anything that will distract you from your walk; the beach is just miles and miles of beach sand. You can walk from one end of the beach to the next as you walk the many species of birds that flock the area.
4. Naples Beach
While this beach is known for its gold courses and high end shopping, it can also be a good spot for walking on weekdays. You can also hike through the 46,000 acres of coastal wetlands, and salt marshes.
11. Sanibel Island

This is a small haven just a short drive from Fort Myers. It has 15 miles of breathtaking walkable beaches. You might find yourself alone in the beach and sometimes other families will be there.
